praying for land - 2008
producer dave weber (carrie newcomer, krista detor) gathered an all-star cast of musicians for this rich studio album. full of the best new songs and some old favorites, it's the best yet, for sure.
one night in louisiana - 2007
a great recording of my first concert in my hometown. sparks of flashy live mojo like "ghost in the machine" and quiet stories like michelle shocked's "memories of e. texas" and "i will come for you." estonian and japanese songs, too.
first takes - 2005
magic with claudia sansoucie. after 17 days of working together, we got together in a warm wooden room, with five microphones and went through 17 first takes.
brave new world - 2005
is a bold internal foray into the questions of living and loving. it's the stories of two friends (myself and my buddy rowan) grappling with those questions - live in the studio.
how can i keep from singing? - 2003
was recorded together with sarah knauf. it's full of classic irish songs. we made a bunch of copies and sold out of them pretty quickly. we decided not to reprint it.
travel songs - 2001
is my first album, mostly mellow songs of the road. "songbird," my tribute to eva cassidy is on it, as are "war stories" and "solvitur ambulando."
